S. Patricia Nasato, RMT
I’ve always had a keen interest in working in a profession with a healing focus. Growing up, I felt driven by a deep curiosity about the complex functions of the human body, the desire to learn, and the wish to work in service to others.
I began my journey as an Occupational Therapist (OT). Soon after, life took an unexpected twist as I developed health issues. With a shift in focus, I re-directed my energy into searching for answers to explain the imbalances in my body. Various practitioners supported my healing. One in particular, imparted the knowledge that awakened my soul and set my new path in motion. With a new awareness of the connection between thought, intention, and the belief that “food is medicine”, I nurtured my body back to health. Slowly, the balance returned to my body.
This opened the door to my next quest: the desire to learn other methods to support the body’s innate healing ability and restore balance. I sought out teachings in Reiki, Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial release and Visceral manipulation.
Fast forward to January 2023, I decided to reinvent myself by embarking on a journey to become a Registered Massage Therapist. As I laid my OT hat to rest, I enrolled in an 18-month program at Bryan College. I knew then that balance not only represented a fundamental concept in Massage Therapy but also meant a lifelong commitment to follow in my own life.
With thought and intention, I look forward to helping others bring better flow to their bodies and souls.
